Information about the Literacy campaign
Introduction:
The ten-year Syrian war destroyed childhood dreams and stole the beautiful smile from Syrian children who had no guilts except that they were born in a country in which a fierce war erupted, which led to their displacement from their homes to settle in new areas and in random tents.
According to United Nations statistics, there are more than 2.5 million children outside the educational process. The future of these children is still unknown because of their living in informal camps without the minimum level of services and infrastructure, including the right of children to access basic education opportunities.
The Humanitarian Development Aid Organization works to facilitate children’s access to their right to education through an integrated intervention in remote areas and informal camps, in which we restore the child’s smile and shape his future anew.
How do we build children’s future?
Education is our passport to the future because tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today (Malcolm X).
For this reason, the Humanitarian Development Aid Organization is harnessing all its efforts to save children from the clutches of ignorance and help them light their way, by targeting children in informal camps and remote villages who are deprived of access to education.
Implementation:
We establish and prepare classrooms to be suitable for receiving our children within a healthy and appropriate environment, and qualified teachers are provided to teach children of different ages on the principles of reading, writing and arithmetic, and this is accompanied by the provision of a specialized literacy curriculum prepared by a professional educational cadre, and for our children to live in distinguished school atmosphere school bags are provided with the necessary stationery for every student .
Performance Monitoring and Evaluation:
Yes, as well as to test the level of students before they are accepted into educational classes to sort them into the appropriate group, their level is tested periodically throughout 6 months of continuing education until the child becomes able to read and write.
The Impact:
We are coordinating with schools near the area to reintegrate children with their colleagues of the same age, so that they can continue the educational process and achieve their ambitions and goals.
How to save a child from ignorance and support him to pursue his dream?
